We have put together a few questions that we feel you may want to know about 4Paws.  We are also happy to answer any other questions you may have at any time or you can book your FREE no obligation meet & greet.  To book head to the contact tab and get in touch

What area's do you cover?

Prudhoe (NE42)

Crawcrook & Greenside (NE40)

High Spen (NE39)

Chopwell, Blackhall Mill & Hamsterley (NE17)

and surrounding areas close by

Do you offer group walks?

The maximum amount of dogs that we walk at the same time is 6 to one walker.  However this rarely happens.  We do this as we want to be able to offer social walks but also want to keep the dogs safe and stay in control of any situations that may occur.  We also like to have some time for them to socialise with us, this way we gain a strong bond and if your dog is still in training its best to have the best of both worlds.

What do you do in case of an emergency?

On our booking form we take details of your vets and emergency contact details.  If anything serious happens whilst your friend is in our care and we feel they need immediate veterinary care we will contact you immediately.  We will always try to use your regular vets where we can, however if they can not see us we will take them to another local vets to make sure they get immediate care.

What happens on a Trial Walk?

A trial walk is a paid for Sole walk where we can start to get to know your friend.  See how we get on, see how they react to other dogs, check their recall etc.  If you are wanting group social walks we will decide which group they are best suited to, this can sometimes take a few walks to figure out but we will confirm how they are getting on and when we are introducing them to a group

Do you walk dogs that are classed as a banned breed?

Yes ALL breeds are welcome at 4Paws.  We are fully insured to walk any dog but with banned breeds we do have to follow a few more rules that are set out by the government exemption guidelines & our insurance.

  • They are only able to have sole walks or with dogs from same household

  • They must wear a muzzle and be leaded at all times

  • They must be microchipped & neutered

  • They must have an exemption certificate and be covered with their own third party liability insurance

  • We do need a copy of the exemption certificate and to see other relevant information regarding the exemption

I want my dog(s) to join 4Paws, what do I need to do?

Great News!!  Firstly Contact Us via our contact form, chat, text or social medias to see we have space for your chosen service.  If we have availability we will arrange to come and do a Meet & Greet to discuss your needs and answer any questions you may have.  If you want to go ahead we will leave you with a welcome pack and arrange a Trail Walk.  From that point as long as their are no issues your friend is part of the 4Paws gang.

What do you do with my personal information & keys?

If you choose to give us a key, we immediately use a colour coded key tag with only your dogs name on it.  All your personal information is kept separate from keys and in a lockable file.

Are you insured?

Yes we are covered with Protectivity.  We are also pet first aid trained & CRB checked so rest assured your friends are in safe hands.

Do you walk bitches in season?

Yes but we have a very strict policy for any bitch in season.  We would only ever walk them with neutered males or alone.  They will be kept on a lead.  You will also be asked to sign a waiver form that you are happy for us to do this and even though we will endeavor to keep any dogs away from your friend we can not be held accountable for any unwanted pregnancies that could occur.  Im happy to discuss this in much more detail at your meet & greet.

What is a meet & greet?

Our meet & greet is a FREE no obligation meeting.  We offer this service as its a perfect way for you to meet us to ask any questions you may have but also time for your friend to meet us as well.  This meeting is very important because if you do decide to come onboard with 4Paws the first time we walk through the door your friend will remember us and this reduces the chance of any stress to your friend, after all we are here to help not create other problems.
