A wedding is one of the most important days of our lives right??

So why wouldn't we want our most beloved family pet there, with more and more venues becoming dog friendly and 4Paws wedding chaperone service this can now become a reality.

How you choose to involve your beloved family friend on the day is your choice....We offer 3 packages that can be totally tailored to your needs. So whether it be they are part of the bridal party, a ring bearer or you just want them to be a part of your photos, whatever your requirements we will work with you to make your dream a reality.

Some important things to think about...

You need to first start with considering your friends temperament and personality. Does he/she like to meet and greet people? Does he/she have at least a few basic commands totally nailed, especially sit and stay? Does the sight of a crowd get them in a frenzy? or are they shyer or even frightened around strangers? Its so important to know what your dog will or will not enjoy so we can have a plan in place that we know they will be comfortable and confident with.

A busy wedding will not be a place for dogs with anxiety or socialisation issues. However a few photos in a quiet location could still work. We would be happy to work with you upto the wedding to achieve this goal.

You then need to find or speak to the venue to see if they are dog friendly and what they will and wont allow on the day. You may want to ask them if they are allowed at the ceremony and are allowed to take part, are there any restrictions in the grounds. Obviously your questions will depend on when you want your dog present, what role they will play or simply how long you want them there for. If you need help with this before you speak to the venue I would be happy to have a chat with you so we can identify your needs and what questions you will need to ask the venue.

What's Included With Our Packages

The following is included with all our packages as basic but remember we will totally tailor your package to yours and your friends needs.

Initial conversation about your needs on booking your date
Meet & Greet to come and meet you and your friend to discuss your needs and ideas in greater detail. We will then put together a plan for the big day.
Email support throughout the whole process and leading upto your big day
A walk or play session closer to the day so they know who we are and are happy to come along with us. It may also be beneficial to organise a second meet for some friends (there will be an extra charge for a second meet)
We will care for your friend for the amount of hours agreed in your chosen service
We will make sure your friend is clean and presentable and dressed as you require prior to arriving at the venue
We will carry dirt bags, water bowls & treats.

Platinum Service

This service allows your friend to be present for the day of your wedding upto 9pm. Your service will be tailored to your needs but will include your ceremony, maybe they will even have a starring role. They will also be there to be included in your photographs. We will work with you to plan out your day and your friends role so everything runs smoothly on the day. Below is an idea of how the day could work.

How could the day work?

We can collect your dog from your home or chosen caregiver on the morning of your wedding. We also offer pet sitting where we could stay with your friend in your home the night before (subject to an additional charge & availability)
We will have a nice calming walk and then a rest before we arrive at the venue
If they are ok with being groomed we will give them a brush and accessorise your dog with any attire you may have purchased and give him/her a spritz of doggy scent
We can be with them during the ceremony to keep them calm. They could walk down the aisle with a member of the wedding party. We will then sit to the side, rear or wherever you choose to supervise your friend.
We will keep him/her entertained when needed
We will take them for comfort breaks and burn a little energy off, feed and water as and when needed
We will be there to help supervise during photo shoot and get those all important pictures
Once the day is over we will go for a final walk and return them to your chosen caregiver or arrange pet sitting from your home (subject to an additional charge & availability)

Our Platinum Service allows upto 12 hours care for your friend upto 9pm. This service is available 7 days a week but advanced booking is essential. Please contact us for a personalised quote.

Gold Service

This service allows your friend to be present for the day of your wedding upto 6pm. Your service will be tailored to your needs but will include your ceremony and photographs. We will work with you to plan out your day and your friends role so everything runs smoothly on the day. Below is an idea of how the day could work.
